After the Treaty Giyanti, Prince Mangkubumi given region of Yogyakarta. To run his reign, Prince Mangkubumi build a palace in 1755 in the Forest Beringan. This land was considered quite good because flanked by two rivers that protect it from possible flooding. The first king in the Sultanate of Yogyakarta is the title of Prince Mangkubumi lane I (HB I).

Palace, Palace or Kraton, derived from the word ka-queen's, which means a place to live queen / king. Broader meaning is, is described simply, that all structures and buildings in the Kraton area have significant meaning related to essential Javanese philosophy of life, namely Sangkan Paraning Dumadi (where it comes from humans and where eventually humans after death).

Outlines, in the Kraton area extending 5 km to the south until Krapyak and 2 km to the north end of Monument. On this line there is a linear line dualism inverted, so that could be read symbolically philosophical. From south to north, as the birth of human beings from on high to the mortal nature, and vice versa as the return man to the side Dumadi (God in view of Java). Meanwhile, a physical with the king's palace as a symbol of true soul that comes into the physical body.

Palace to Tugu also be interpreted as a way of life full of temptation. Beringharjo market symbolizes women temptation. While the temptation for power is symbolized by House Kepatihan. Both are located on the right. Straight road itself as a human symbol close to the Creator (impressive Paraning Dumadi).

Put simply, the monument symbolism Linga (male) and Krapyak as Yoni (female). And the Palace as the physical origin of the two.

Spatial meaning Kraton

Hit by the earthquake in 1867, the Palace was severely damaged. At the time of HB VII in 1889, the building is refurbished. The lay still retained, but the shape of the building changed as it looks now

Monument and Ward or Ward Manguntur Tangkil Kencana (where the king's throne), located in a straight line, this means, when the Sultan sat on his throne and looking toward the Tugu, then he will always remember the people (subjects manunggaling gusti).

Kraton Kraton same order as the Mataram dynasty in general. Kencana ward which became the king's reign, together with Ward Prabayeksa as a place to store weapons Palace heritage (in this room there Wiji Kyai oil lamp, which is always guarded to prevent outages courtiers), serves as a center. The ward is covered by the court Kedhaton, so to reach the center, pass through a page that resembles a series of layered bewa (waves) above the ocean.

Special arrangement of the Palace is very similar to the constellation of mountains and plains Cashew Dwipa, seen as a continent of its center of the universe.

From north to south of the palace there are successive North Square, North Hinggil Siti, North Kemandhungan, Srimanganti, Kedhaton, Kemagangan, South Kemandhungan, Siti Hinggil Square South and South (the sheltered courtyard wall height).

While the door to go through to get to each place of nine, called Regol. From there north gate, pangurukan, Tarub great, brajanala, srimanganti, kemagangan, gadhung Mlati, kemandhungan and ivory.

Brongtodiningrat looked at these numbers is important, as the highest number that describes perfection. This corresponds to nine holes in human beings, commonly called babahan hawa sanga.

The sacredness of each Palace building is indicated by the frequency and intensity of the Sultan at the venue.

Square, Exhibition, and Siti Hinggil, in place of Sultan only comes three times a year, namely during the events of Pisowan Ageng Grebeg Maulud, Sawal and Besar. And the opportunities so incidental a very special example when the coronation of the Emperor and Crown Prince or Princess Coronation Duke Anom.

Sultan's Palace is an old building that was once damaged and restored. Looks like other Kingdom buildings. But if we explore the sultan's palace, which is the largest and most beautiful examples with symbolic meaning, a philosophy of life, human nature, how nature works and human beings live their lives and various symbols of life existence in them.

Sundak Beach (RECOMENDED!)

Posted by Aden On 08.38 No comments

Sundak Beach not only has a fascinating natural scenery, but also keeps the story. Name Sundak turns to experience evolution evidences can be traced geologically.

In order to know its evolution, visitors must know first edge condition Sundak beach then and now. On the western edge of the beach when there are YogYES visited the mosque and the empty space that is now used as a parking lot. While in the east there are caves that are formed from coral rock approximately 12 feet altitude. Entering the cave, will be found natural wells where people get fresh water.

Region described above before the year 1930 remained under sea. It is said that water to a region that is now built mosque, which form the rock caves were still under water. As the geological processes on the southern coast, the sea surface to shrink and the water is indented into the sea. The coral reef and the area around the mosque became the new land which people used the beach for economic activity to date.

There is a unique natural phenomenon of the activity that eventually became the starting point of naming this beach. If the rainy season arrives, many of the inland water flowing toward the ocean. As a result, the plain on the east coast divide to form a shape like a river. Water that flows like mbedah (splitting) of sand. When drought comes, parts of it disappear and come along with sea water carrying sand. Natural phenomenon is what causes the name of the beach into Wedibedah (sand split). When YogYES come Wedi not split the middle.

The name change took place some decades later. Around the year 1976, there is an interesting event. One afternoon, a dog was running around in coastal areas and entered the cave coral met a sea urchin. Because the hungry, the dog tried to eat the sea urchin escape but the sea urchin. There was a fight that ultimately won the dog managed to eat half of the body with sea urchin and out of the cave with pride. The act known to the owner of the dog, named Arjasangku, saw half of the sea urchin's body in a dog's mouth. Checking into the cave, it turns out the owner found the body of sea urchin and a half remaining. Well, since then, the name changed to Sundak Wedibedah, abbreviation of asu (dog) and porcupine.

No warning, the fight was a blessing for locals. After decades of water shortages, residents finally found a spring. Initially, the wonder dog owner that his dog out of the cave with dripping wet. The hypothesis, in the cave there is water and the dog had drowned while chasing porcupines. After some investigations, the prediction turned true. Be present, the water in a cave used for the purpose of life. From inside the cave, now installed pipes for connecting with people. The findings of this spring treat disappointment because of the well established residents were inundated by sea water.

Well, if conditions in 1930 just as was said above, can be estimated conditions for hundreds of years earlier. Of course very many organisms that utilize the bottom of the reef which is now a cave and the area that is now the mainland. Therefore, many archeologists believe that as a consequence of geological processes that exist, many marine organisms are left behind and piled up as fossils. What fossils are found, indeed up to now has not been much research reveals.

Besides offering a silent witness of history, Sundak also offers an enjoyable evening. You can enjoy the evening breeze while ordering raw fish to be grilled with friends. By paying a few thousand, you can buy wood for fuel. If lazy, just order a mature, so be ready to eat. What is clear, do not be confused to find a place to stay. Visitors can sleep anywhere, set up a tent, or just lying on the bench tonight stall if unused. Darkness does not need to fuss, is not boring if life continues bright?

If you want, interact with residents could be an enlightenment. You can find out how people live, their culture, and of course the new people who might be able to change your outlook on life. Mbah Tugiman meet the usual guard at the parking lot or Mbah Arjasangku could be an option. They are one of the elders at the beach Sundak. Talking with them makes you not just witnessed the historical evidence but also get stories from people who witnessed how the history engraved. Come, all who were there already waiting!
